Exploration & Possible Locations

Do not, I say again, Do Not attempt to scout with your main char. Freedom is huge (think HOURS of walking - man really need a horse), and there are dangers out there. Wurm isn't forgiving when u die, you lose part of your stats (sorta) as well as all your gear is dropped where you died.


Also, post what you want from a new home? You like a place on the water? Is a tar pit really important to you? Do you like to be around a ton of people, or would you rather find some high peak away from it all with a nice view. Do you want to be near hunting grounds, ect...

I traveled a bit. I checked out our potential spot on the far west coast, and ended up being a huge letdown. (See pic below).

Im currrently exploring the West coast line with an alt. Will update as I know more.

Forget about that star near the lake opposite to the "intended" place... Place already deeded...
I went to try and explore the access from the other side, it exists, but i can't really say if its usable or not.

One thing is certain, its a great hunting ground...

What finally chased me away:


(i had already landed, but then this fellow came around and chased me into half way back to the other shore)

All in all, the place MIGHT be really cool, if nothing else, as a hunting ground, but its too troublesome to scout to be worth it...

maloc can u scout 10y 14x if u have a char nearby?

hey maloc how is the deed site's going? have u guys finished any of the houses? we will need a storage to fit everything we bring i don't know for certain if this will be needed but porabably if on the day of the moving u could bring ur rowing boat to hour house we would have 4 boats to leave bring stuff (assuming that we finish the other sailing on time but we will discuss this in game with more accuratly tomorrow or so
